About a month ago I noticed some vermintide snails on my candy cane. They multiplied very quickly and the coral didn’t extend as much as it used to do. I removed it from the tank and scraped them all off from the skeleton (didn’t come close to any tissue) and put it back in the tank. This was about 3 weeks ago, the coral hasn’t extended at all since then and a few day ago there are something white on one of the heads branch, see photo. Any idea what it could be, should I remove it from the tank?

Tank is quite new, been running for about 6 months now.

Doing weekly waterchanges (about 10-15%)

Latest parameters:

Ca 450
No3 10
DKH 9,1
Po4 0,003 (very low and been that from start, cannot seem to get it to rise. Measured with Salifert and Hanna.)

Salinity 1,024

Temp 25 C / 77 F

I doubt it is the vermetids, everyone has vermetids in their tank. The pic is blurry and blue, but it looks like they are melting. Phosphate is very low.

Do you have other corals in the tank? How are they? what kind of light do you have? Do you have any flow in the tank?

I’ll attach another photo to see if it will be better.
Yes phosphate is very low and I have tried to rise it with more food(flakes/pellets ). I have some algae’s on the back of my aquarium that I remove every week(gets lesser for each week) that maybe consumes the phosphate?

I have 2 streamers besides the return pump and 2 Hydra 32HD. The coral is placed in medium flow and at about 100-150 par. Lights and flow hasn’t changed from when it still was looking good.
My other corals seems to be just fine, a few eupyllias, Duncan, clavularia and sarcophyton.
