Hey guys, I just want to share my one of Caulastrea photo. It has been overwhelmed by the sponge because I put them too close. I can't do much with the Caulastrea though, so I'll just let them be.:squigglemouth:
Here's it :

Cool photo! We have all put things too close and it's not fun to watch a prized piece get taken over. But it is part of the natural selection of the reef. I do like the sponge in your photo there. Very cool looking. Thanks for sharing.

That sponge is cool!

You should really correct the white balance on that and upload a larger res photo to the Dec POTM contest... This is a cool picture. It will have both Red and Green and it's amazingly interesting.

just saw it's a tiger sponge but still where did you get it?

Sorry for the late reply,
I got it from East Javanese Island, from the depth of under 10m. It's only 2 inch at first.. and WHAM! it went that far..

I'll check it later maybe. Cause my memory card was borrowed for a while by friend of mine

Wow that is a really nice one. What are you feeding your tank? I have heard that these are nearly impossible to keep so obviously you are doing something right to get it to grow that well. I would love to have some in my tank.

Wow, what a sponge -- beautiful and aggressive! Great combination!

Just ordinary feeding method.. blended shrimp, pellets for fishes, etc.
Nothing else actually, maybe there's some kind of zooplankton big sized colony so they directly become a food for my sponge :ooh:
Sorry didn't mean to not answering your question, but I really don't know why this sponge grew so well..

Wow that is nice .I would separate them so the sponge can grow faster

Do you guys have any information about how to cut them? I already done it twice and killed them . So if you guys can help me give an information or two, that would be great.
