Caulerpa air sacs at the surface

Hey guys. I have some caulerpa in my fuge. It grows long flat blades to the surface where I get air filled sacs. I had chaeto, but the caulerpa choked it out. Remove the sacs? Leave them?

I might add a few different strains of caulerpa. Chaeto keeps withering away. Flow is high, maybe too high, with a big jebao power head. It's the only powerhead I have currently. Caulerpa needs something to attach to, right? If a piece comes loose, does it still grow or should I remove it? I have a box made of eggcrate in the fuge to contain the chaeto. Now the box is empty with the caulerpa attached to the top of the box. Should I lose the box, and maybe just keep a layer of eggcrate on the bottom of the fuge?

There are many types of calurpa. SOME do excrete a chemical to kill other algaes. Including other calurpa.

This did happen to me this year.

My caulerpa won the battle of the algae as well. I just let it grow. If it gets too big I trim a little but for the most part I leave it alone to do its thing.
