Should I be feeding my excess caulerpa to my tangs?

Just curious to know if tangs normally eat it?

If read previously that they do. No first hand experience though. I actually removed all of mine from the fuge today as it was just causing a mess

Try a small piece and see how quickly it goes. Small amounts on a clip will prevent it from taking root. If your tang doesn't want it, then it will be easy to remove.

I'm also curious which caulerpas are eaten by fish. I have many caulerpas I like and want to keep but this verticillata grows too quickly to maintain. I wouldn't mind finding a fish that eats it. Or a seahare. Anyone have experience in this area?

My LFS said if you feed cheato to fish they cant digest the tuff strands of the seaweed but the caulerpa should be great. My fox face just starting nipping at my SPS so feeding lots of nori and trying live OGO now from algae barn. Hopefully I can keep him grazing on algae and not coral...we will see

Caulerpa brachypus (yes the very invasive one) but I am running out, both my scopas tangs and black naso go nuts for it.

I have read that caulpera prolifera actually helps the immune system of tangs and other fish.
