CBB Gill infection?

looks like the inside of my copper bands gills are inflamed, look red and swollen. Still eats like a hog, have had for at least three yrs. Will add pics in the am as light are about to go off. Any possiblitys thoughts would be extreamily appreciated.

Any changes in salinity? Ammonia spikes? Signs of yawning, flashing or scratching, breathing heavy white spots, dusty or dirty appearance, hiding excessively, swimming into the flow of a powerhead or return?
