CBS with fire shrimp and cleaner shrimp?

We have had a fire shrimp and a cleaner shrimp in the same 75 gallon tank with 200 lb of live rock for over a year.

Can we safely add a smaller Coral banded shrimp?

If yes, should we go with the white one or the yellow one?

I hear they are really mean. Haven't personally owned one but I've heard about them killing dwarf angels and other shrimp once they are a decent size, so with that I would advise against the CBS

I heard the same thing. That's why we started with the fire shrimp and the skunk cleaner shrimp.

But I don't know anyone that actually has one.

The yellow ones only get to less than 2" in size. I can't imagine they are a threat to most fish. I really don't think they would be likely to prey on cleaner shrimp but maybe someone else that's more knowledgeable can chime in.

We have five of the neon cleaner gobies, three blue and two gold.

After watching a stippled cling fish eat an earlier goby that was one of my main concerns.

Stippled clingfish went back to the lfs...

I have no problem with CBS at all. Mine is a huge female.about the size of your palm. I had it with skunk cleaner, white spot anemone, longnose shrimp, emperor shrimp and even sexy shrimps! No problem except the occasional waving of claws.

I have heard that the coral banded shrimp are very territorial they won't go hunting for other shrimp but they will stand their ground if they feel that their area is being intruded upon. I heard fire shrimp are supposed to be the same way but I have two and they don't bother the smaller shrimp in the tank.
I wanted to get a pair of coral bandit shrimp in the same tank as my pair of fire shrimp but didn't want to take the chance

I have all 3 of those shrimp in my corner tank. The king is the banded shrimp. The fire shrimp is next in pecking order. A 75 gallon may be a little tight for the mix but may work.

My coral banded shrimp is a sissy. He stays in his cave most of the time. I hardly ever see him. My skunk cleaner shrimp are always out and about. My blood shrimp I usually only see at feeding time.

I decided not to get too greedy.
We are successfully keeping a small Flame hawkfish, a small Longnose hawkfish, a large skunk cleaner shrimp and a large blood red fire shrimp all in the same 75 gallon tank with 200 pounds of live rock.

The skunk cleaner shrimp lives under the rocks on the left, the fire shrimp lives under the rocks on the right. The two different hawkfish don't spend time together, but they don't attack each other either. even at feeding time.


Decided to just count my blessings.
