Any thoughts if carbon dosing in a fish only system with out live rock and sand will work at reducing NO3 and PO4?
CD dosing from my understanding works best when you have areas where there is anaerobic activity.

Cut back on the feeding and run some active carbon

Yes, it can work, but possibly not as well on nitrate if there is no low O2 region for denitrification.
