I purchased around 300-400 cerinth snails for my 230 gallon aquarium from reef cleaners. That was around a month ago.. Last night I noticed more and more on the glass than I've ever seen.. Probably easily 200 of them. Plus, my rocks are full of them too, and the sand bed has a bunch of shells still in it. So, I noticed last night that close to a dozen or more of them had white strands coming out of their shells... I'm assuming this is probably eggs? or snail poop? Not sure which, each strand was around 1" long, and appeared somewhat sticky.
Am I going to have thousands of cerinths in my tank or do fish eat the eggs?? If so, I should probably start harvesting them to sell...
