Has anyone had experience with cerith snails eating zoanthids? Ive noticed at night my cerith snails are just sitting on my zoa colonies.. even during the day sometime there will be one that will stay on the colony the entire day and not move. I havent noticed any damage or eating polyps yet.. but it seems strange that theyre only on the zoos..

any info is appreciated..

cheers

They are omnivores so they will eat detritus, uneaten fish food, film algae, diatoms, hair algae and Cyano. They are also an excellent sand sifter. They are probably just eating trapped detritus or algae in between the zoas.
