Hello guys,

I saw the new cermedia bricks. To me they look awesome but i am not sure the pro and cons of having them in QT. Could you help talk about it?

My main concern would be whether it absorbs meds (mainly copper) like rock does? Ceramic is known to be capable of absorbing chemicals.

I used matrix (ceramic bio media that is similar) in my QT and tested my copper levels almost daily. I never saw a dip in the copper levels as long as I dosed the water change water correctly. For what that's worth.

Guys,

Have you tried using cermedia blocks and dosing cupramine for qt?

What are the pro and cons you can think of when talking about cermedia in qt?

Oppps sorry duplication. Could you delete this thread for me thanks

Nice. anyone else had experience? On the seachem web q and a they say ceramic does absorb or hold medication but stays soluble which means that can be taken out with carbon later on. But not sure if i should use it. They seem awesome.

I used them and love them. I have 5 blocks sitting in a 125g qt with no other filtration and two fat crosshatch triggers that messy eat and poop like no tomorrow. No water changes in 6 months. Crystal clear water. And nitrates below 20.
