I'm in awe of your sps colonies. Did you choose mh/t5 for this tank? Can u make a new video? [emoji16]

do you have an updated FTS?

Also how far off do you have your t5s and reefbrites from the top of the tank?

What params are you aiming for?
I'll get a FTS soon, and another video up. I'm still putting the room (garage) together. Almost done
I have dropped my lights to about 6 inches off the water. When I first set the tank up, I had them higher because I replaced the bulbs.
I keep my alk at 8, Mg at 1400ish but I don't really test for that. Ca at 420
I think that I have a great group of fishes and then, I see yours........:eek::eek::eek::eek:
Thank you Alex, I am a huge fan of your tank!
I love regals. Too bad I've got acans and micros plus zoas. Don't think they'd last.
Yeah, I doubt you could keep those corals with a regal. I have to keep my LPS in my frag tank.
Beautiful reef!
Thank you!
Lovely fish list.
Very nice setup.
Thanks so much

Thanks! My corals were all grown under t5s and I added a couple blue XHO reefbrite strips about a year ago. I will definitely get a new video up. I'm just trying to get things organized in the new tank room.

Took this pic last night while doing some maintenance.

I've made some changes to my main display recently. I've moved some corals around a bit and removed a few to make room for some frags that I prefer. The biggest change I've made is I just removed the sand. I can't stand the look of it now, but I did it for a few reasons. My MP60s were blowing it around so 1/3 of my tank was already barebottom, and that to me looked worse than it does now. Secondly, my clarion would swoop down and throw the sand up onto my corals so I had to constantly blow it off. Finally, I've been so busy lately and I now have multiple tanks set up, so the lower the maintenance the better for me. I still have to clean the glass and mount a couple corals, but here's how it's looking tonight.

I got a couple really cool acros in recently. They are now in QT but are looking great. On the left is a Walt Disney frag. it's been dipped twice and I've had it in QT for a couple weeks now. On the right is a Homewrecker frag. I've dipped this coral once and I've had it for just a few days. I was a bit skeptical about the homewrecker but I must admit it's the nicest frag I've owned. I can't imagine what a colony would look like. I suck at photography, I'm just using my phone but I tried to get an accurate depiction of how they look. To me, they look better in person.

Haven't been feeling my display lately, since removing the sand. But, this has really motivated me to improve my frag tank. Snapped this pic of my JF Firecracker last night while cutting frags. I love this coral. Mine has a very tight growth structure compared to the pics I've seen. It's a fast grower and has outstanding color. Definitely a favorite of mine .

Just got my JF homewrecker frag out of quarantine and into the frag tank. After being dipped several times it has still held most of it's color. It's faded a bit, but still looks amazing.

Buy bigger grain sand and put it back if you prefer sand and will make you happy.

I had very coarse sand, the next level up would be crushed coral which I don't want to do. My tank is shallow so I can't raise my MP60s up any higher. I think as my corals grow and the bottom gets covered in coraline I'll feel better about it.

Been doing a lot of changes lately. One of which was swapping out frag tanks. Got this one installed late last night and I'll be filling it with corals today. Happy with how it's turned out

looks great.

what is it?
Thanks! It's a reservoir made by botanicare. It's approximately 100 gallons.
Awesome new build. Love the angels. Do they nip at your sps?
Thanks so much. I have very little nipping in my main display. I feed very heavy to try to deter them from my corals. My juvi venustus and multibar are the only ones I've actually seen nip at anything and that's pretty rare.

Got most of my frags in the new frag tank. I'm loving this thing

Quick update: the tank is doing fairly well at the moment even though I've been slacking a bit. I've gotten some exciting new acro frags recently, which are still in QT at the moment.

Clarion checking out a recently added frag

Hungry fishies!

I like that frag tank does the same company make the stand as well
Thank you, yes I love the frag tank. It's a tub made by Botanicare. I made the stand.

Wow! Nice lots of open space for the fish.
Thanks man! I'm a big fan of using minimal amount of rock in my tanks. I love being able to move corals around, as each rock only has 1 or 2 corals on it. And I think the fish appreciate it as well
