Just got this algae to start building a refugium. I’ve placed it into a separate quarantine tank. Inspecting it and found a few of these. What are they??

Can you get another photos Please, different angle ?
Also if you can take out one of them and take photo out of the water can be very helpful.
It don't look like Amphipod, and is a bit strange. Is it fast moving ? or look like slug/snail ?

This was the best I could get. I just picked up the chaeto. It’s currently in quarantine. I’ll see if I can get better pics tomorrow when I get off work.

Sorry, was think about Amphipod at the beginning, but the pairs of the legs don't match, also and the hooks at the legs aren't the same. Of course exist different SPs, but can't see like that pod there.

Agree, doesn’t look like a pod. That elephant trunk type of appendage is also throwing me.

Me too, exactly!

but this "trunk" don't exist anything that curly in the gammarids, the rest probably can match it.

It's a gammarus type, that is curled up. Nothing to worry about. The "trunk" is just its antennae.

Reminds me of what I pulled out of my filter sock the other day. About .25" curled up, fast moving, and scared the s(H)IT outta me. Threw him in the DT haven't seen it since. Haven't seen anything like it. But eh. I'm all about letting stuff grow except for aptaisa and bubble algea

Yea, I was inspecting it and saw this. I tried google but nothing exactly like it showed up. A few similar to it though.

Dude seriously, aptasia isn't bad if your getting it for free. Dont trust the "guy".
