I have a 20gallon JBJ frag tank. Bare bottom, 10lbs of live rock in the rear sump. Return pump is a maxijet 1200. I have a korellia 425 for flow. Light is an AI prime running all blues (to keep algae growth down was the idea). Livestock is 1 sixline and 1 Molly. I have been having an issue with turf algae so I set up a 24" chaeto reactor. Reactor is powered by a maxijet 1200. I have been running the light 24/7. tank has been up for about a year. The reactor has been running about 2 months. The chaeto slowly dies in the reactor. Turns white and then mush. Nitrates <10 phosphate 0.05. Display is covered in algae. Any ideas? All 8.0 Cal 400

Agree at some point you may need to supplement nutrients for good growth

What lights are you using on chaeto? You'll need to manually remove as much of the algae as you can in the DT. It's outcompeting with the chaeto not giving it a chance to take off.

I use these grow lights. I set up an identical reactor in a clients tank and it's doing great
