Chaeto Cultivation

Hey Guys,

How often do you trim back your chaeto in your fuge? I have a good sized fuge (40g) and it is full of chaeto, I have been trimming it back every 3-4 weeks. I can get a 5gal pale each month. This is removing around 1/2 at a time, is that too much? I have flipped it upside down to check to see how the bottom is doing, and it is a nice dark green. The top gets blasted with light so there is a light spot in the middle.

I pull a big fist full a week. If your numbers look good I wouldn't mess with it

Maybe I’ll start doing a weekly reduction, I would hate to see some of it start to decay and spike nutrients
