Chaeto...filter socks or not? Skimmer or not?

Hi everyone!
I know there have been plenty of discussions in regards to preference of socks or not...but I wanted to know specifically for all those who run a chaeto fuge, how many people continue to keep socks and continue to keep the skimmer?

I know there are going to be camps for both responses but was interested to see the feedback. Right now I'm using two socks and the skimmer.

I run a filter sock and skimmer on mine, and pull chaeto out by the handfull weekly

Chaeto, skimmer, no sock here.

I only run socks when I'm doing a water change and stirring up the sand bed.

Do you just have your return drain into your skimmer section or your fuge?

I run my return drain into my skimmer section first. Fuge in the middle, then return section after baffles.
