Chaeto from LFS...

This is a pic of the Chaeto i got today from the LFS. I know it is seeded with Amphipods, my concern is in this picture... is this eggs or bubble algae? I have not even removed from the bag and dont plan on it til i can identify this.

Hard to tell but looks like grape caleurpa or bubble algae.
I’d prefer neither to be in my tank!

I read that it could be photosynthesis of the Chaeto but im not about to put it in my new tank until i know.

If it is growing off strands it is grape caulerpa, I need a clearer pic if you have one please.

Hard to tel from the picture. There are likely to be hitch hikers and other unwanted algae from the LFS. Learn from my mistakes. I’d only buy “clean” chaeto for now on. Many recommend Algae Barn.

Looks like grape caulerpa. It should be fine if it's going in a refugium.
