Chaeto in sump location

Hello,

I just got some Chaeto in and it's my first time using it. My sump has 3 chambers with a bubble trap. I see that people tend to put the protein skimmer in the first chamber and the chaeto or macro in the chamber after that, however my first chamber is not big enough to accommodate the protein skimmer. So would it be okay to use the first chamber (where the outflow from DT drains)? I can post a picture if it would help.

You can but it is not really doing too much 'cause there are so many nutrients in the first chamber

Actually should be fine, in fact first large chamber is where they recommend the fuge for triton.

Awesome! Thank you for the input. I will see how it does. If I have to, I will just build another sump as I have a couple of tanks laying around that I could use. They have baffle kits that are pretty inexpensive.
