Just got it about a week ago and it's starting to look brown and some of it even looks clear. Any idea what's going on? I have a Kessil H380 lamp for the refugium. It doesnt spin around in the refugium but I try to move it daily.

Either too much light, too close to the cheato or on too long. Possibly too low nutrients as well. I experienced this on my 220 with the cheato where I went down to 0 nitrates and had to start dosing Sodium Nitrate to get to color back up and grow.

Many people do 12 on 12 off. Opposite of the display tanks light schedule which also helps keep you pH more stable.
