Chaeto leaves?

I ordered some chaeto. It’s been growing in my reactor for a few weeks. Started as a golf ball size. Has grown 5 times bigger already.

Are these some kind of leaves? They are attached to some of the strands of chaeto. They appear to be a part of the chaeto itself.

What is it?

That appears to be sea lettuce. Ulva lactuca. It looks like chaeto wasn't the only thing you got.

So the sea lettuce attaches to the chaeto? I have to pull it off, almost snaps when it comes off.
