Chaeto & pH

Has anyone seen less pH dips and spikes when running lights on their refugium at night? It seems to me this should keep the same biological processes that raise pH during the daytime going at night. How wrong am I? I don't have chaeto in my sump right now so I can't verify for myself.

I do not test ph ever but yes, that is the idea behind running fuge lights at night.
