Well I have 2 24w lights, but my fuge is roughly 25g. It's the front section of a rs300 eshopps sump. I took the socks out and scooted the skimmer to the baffle.

My display is 75 gallon and the fuge is 10gallon. The Tunze puts out 9 watts so maybe a tad under powered.

Imo you are. Those higrow lights I mentioned are pretty cheap & powerful. I sized my light like a 1 sided algae scrubber. A case can be made you dont need anything aside from 660nm grow lights.

As for the pods, I routinely add algeabarn pods, but hard to see if I’m getting a stable population.

It is better to routinely dose live phyto than to constantly dose pods. The phyto will keep their populations up.
