I have a vegan daughter... you can see where this is heading!
She's an adult - I'm not that cruel, I'd tell her where it's from. After?

I just took out 1/4 from the sump as it was getting full. Was giving it a rinse so it won't stink in the kitchen trash, and boy this looks tasty.

I guess, so long as meds weren't dosed into the tank, I would think that it'd be safer to eat than Chaeto from the ocean, since our tanks are probably cleaner than the ocean. Give it a go, tell how how it goes!

Not too many algae eating fish like chaeto, so would think it wouldn't taste that good, but can't say that I've tried it.
Tastes like kale.
So it tastes terrible...:p

Do you have any zoa's in your tank? Can chaeto absorb palytoxin? Probably not, but I really don't think I'd want to be the test subject to find out.... 95% chance of it being a hilarious prank, 5% chance of things going sideways? I think it's a pretty funny idea, but personally I'd do more research than just asking the interwebs before actually trying it on a family member...

I am not sure about chaeto, but i will eat grape caulerpa anytime. Squeeze some lime, fresh cut hot chilli, union slices and shrimp paste. Mixed all and serve :D

IDK about chaeto, but I KNOW the Japanese restaurant has served me something that looked like this.

Now you are talking. The dragon breath looks appealing, I have some growing in my algae through. Are you sure it's edible?. The sea weed is another staple menu in my state, cheap source for collagen :)

Dragons breath is great, probably my favorite, followed by that stringy green one up front they call wakame. It's great with sesame seeds. I'm not sure what the leafy one is in the back. Never had it. I pulled that image off google.

Should try some dragon breath on my next harvest. It must be crunchy.... Yummy

Look at the kale recipe on the 4H website. The one with cheddar. I'd try it that way for sure.

I was going to suggest blanched, tossed with hot sesame oil and sliced ginger and seasoned with 5 spice.
