I picked up some chaeto from 2 places and one has bristle worms and other one has what seems to me bubble algae.
Should I use either?

I’m fairly new . But from what I’ve read on the forums bubble algae is not good so I definitely wouldn’t use that. Why take the risk? Not to familiar about bristle worms . I don’t know if those are benificial or not.

I had several Aiptasia in a wad of chaeto. Plus i wouldn't be surprised if that's where I got ICH from. Call me crazy, but I'm quarantining the next batch I pick up

Bubble algae is fine if you have an appropriate amount of emerald crabs to clean it up, but I wouldn't put it willingly in my tank. Bristle worms are harmless.

You can't quarantine chaeto with medication because it will absorb the medication and make the chaeto toxic to inverts. And to my knowledge, neither aiptasia nor chaeto passes along ich.

I wouldn't medicate it, but I would let it sit in a QT tank fallow for 6 weeks. Anything wet can transmit a disease.

I have a QT but it’s dosed with copper. I wouldn’t put it in my DT sump
I’m new to the hobby so it’s alot to ask my wife to have 3 tanks right away.
I have a waterbox 220.6 and waterbox peninsula 25.
