I bought a media reactor and plan to use it to grow chaeto with led strip lights wrapped around it.

I don’t have room for a refugium (all in one tank). I want to try to grow copepods in the chaeto reactor.

has anyone been successful with this? Any tips?

I feel like there may be too much flow for the copepods inside of the media reactor?
Just got a mandarin and want to increase my copepod population. Tank is a 32gallon biocube.

thanks

I always kind of thought the same thing. Seems like the pod population might get pumped out faster than they can repopulate. Following.

evening,

Not sure which reactor you have, can you dial back the flow?. I have a Vertex that has a ball valve on the inlet. It allows for fine tuning. Usually you want to have some type of flow control on a reactor since not every media has the same recommended flow rate.
