Chaeto reactor or sump refugium?

I have a almost 2 year old Nuvo 40. I really want to start doing the Triton method but I'm at a crossroads. Should I just do a chaeto reactor or plumb in a sump with a refugium and a larger skimmer? Just looking for opinions

I have a chaeto reactor myself external to my sump.

But if I had to chose between one or the other, I would always lean towards a sump setup.
