Chaeto - Should it tumble?

DISCLAIMER: NOT MY PHOTOS - This R2R reefer made a chaeto sandwich out of eggcrate. He flips it over on occasion, but it doesn't tumble and he stated that he didn't have any die off on the underside. To trim it, he just lifts out the sandwich and does some weed eating with scissors. I thought it was kinda neat and saved the pics. I should have saved the link to his thread also. ;Sour

Hopefully he will see his photos and give us an update.

I have a ton of chaeto in a 75g sump, aside from high flow it doesn't move. I just harvest regularly.

I was worried when I first picked it up but everyone was right. It is a weed! I swear it gets bigger every day.

I couldnt grow cheato AT ALL in my sump!! I tried flow lights the lot.... then i bought this online, chucked a pump on it and wrapped around some £8 LEDs.... I now harvest a full tube once a week!

Not really. My tang eats it anyway.

Without the container, is there a way to keep chaeto from flying everywhere?

You can put eggcrate between it and the next chamber.
