Chaeto stopped growing after a week or two

I ordered a small piece of chaeto, golf ball sized, and set up an AI fuge light that’s running 12 hours. When it first came in it started growing pretty quick, and grew multiple times it’s size in a short period of time. However it just appears to have stopped growing. I don’t know if it is and is just slowly, and maybe becoming more dense? But the size of it doesn’t appear to have gotten bigger in the last 3~ weeks. Why did it start growing so much and then just stop? Is there something I should look out for? I have nitrates in my tank, currently I’m usually between 28-32 at a given time. I’m considering getting some ulva to see if that will give me any luck, I’d really like to get a refugium full of macro, especially given how expensive the light was. This is all new to me though so if I’m missing something let me know!

Probably depleted your iron. I use chaeto gro

Yes using chaeto gro once a week can help but don't overdose trace.
