So how does everyone keep chaeto in there sump refugium? Mine seems to always be sucked towards the baffle going to the return and always having pieces get into the display....i have turned down the flow on the return pumps and it still just gets sucked up to the baffle

On my manufactured sump there is a bypass channel on the backside of the refugium that most of my sump's flow travels through rather than 100% of the flow through the refugium. Is there a way you could to do something similar on your sump?

I had octo aquatics make a filterfloss holder and it sits where my bubble trap used to. I cut strips of pinky floss to fit loosely. It catches the macro pieces while not completely cleaning the water.

Sadly no, it’s a trigger system staphire sump it’s been awesome other then the “refugium” part but i will try my best to see if i can make something like that

Thank you! Maybe i will try to do something similar

You could use a plastic fish breeder box or a 64oz clear plastic juice bottle cut in half with holes drilled in it. That should keep the algae in place.
