Chaetomorpha Health

Just picked up a ball of chaeto from my LFS today, and it has some air bubbles coming off of it, which I believe means photosynthesis is occurring. Is this a good sign of the overall health of the plant? I’m using an IM chaetomax LED and Brightwell ChaetoGro for nutrients.

I typically go by color...deep green is pretty healthy.
