I have a refug. already and its growing a tennis ball size chaetomorpha inside it. Question i have is would you all up add some more chaetomorpha to the sump or get a algae scrubber. I figure if you have alot of chaetomorpha then it should do the same thing as one of these Algae scrubber??

Algae Scrubber do it better and faster than macro algae does. With a big enough algae scrubber you don't even need to run a skimmer.

I see ppl running them up/down, has anyone ever ran one left/right under water. Because i have a tigger sys pro sump and would like to run a mini one if i could.

Both have their pro's and cons.

What is goal for either one in your system?

What size tank? A tennis ball of chaeto may be okay for a nano tank but wont do much for a 300 gallon tank.
