Sometimes I think this site should be renamed Chalice2Chalice:bigsmile: with all of the beautiful chalice pics. Most of the pics are macro shots of tiny frags to small colonies of about 2"-3".

Some of these I'm imagining loose a bit of impact once they get bigger. I would think morphs like the watermelons would lose a bit because the rim colors would'nt be as pronounced on a large colony, others such as the convict are probably stunning.

So who's got pics of some larger colonies, say at least 5" and up?

I just got this colony today from Matt at Austin Aquafarms.

The one on the right is 12 inches by 6 inches. The one in the middle is about 2.5 by 5 inch. The little watermelon on the left is a fav. Can't wait till it gets the size of the big one.

My Flying Saucer mother colony is about 15" in diameter. Check out the full grown sea urchin in the upper left corner of the picture as a reference to the size of the colony.

Here is a chalice I have had for many years....at least four years, but probably even longer (I've had it for so long that I can't remember when I got it). It is roughly the size of a softball cut in half.

cheers,
Darren
