Chalice Coral Tissue loss / Colour Dissappearing

Hey guys I'm new to reef keeping so I think i made a big mistake last night. I fed my Chalice some zooplankton by Seachem but I target fed it . I woke up this morning to see a lot of colour gone ( now a dark blackish colour).. Not sure if there is tissue recession, I do think so.

Could the Seachem Zooplankton have 'burnt' my chalice since its so concentrated??

Help needed please. Dont want to lose my Chalice.

I would ask if you have a picture and maybe list your water parameters to help. Is the color loss all over or in a specific area? I would think it would be possible to damage it somewhat depending on the amount fed and how much hit the coral before diluting in the water column.

Hi thank you for replying. I'll attach the pictures below.

My water is quite stable.
Ph 8.2
KH 8.0+
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate about 10ppm ( dropping after each water change because there are no fish)
Calcium 430 mg/l
Magnesium 1350 mg/l
Temperature 25°C

Most of all the loss was to the left side of coral where i target fed it the zooplankton.
I also fed it really close so there wasn't really diluting before it touched the coral and i fed quite a bit. I think i messed up bad.

Oh but damaged tissue on the total left was like that from the LFS.

Sorry I meant the damaged tissue on the total RIGHT!

hard to say looks like the algea on the right is winning as it looks like it's already between the tissue an skeleton not good at all this looks to be ongoing notice how someone snapped off the left side not a clean fragging there. if this was mine i would clean the algea off failing a good cleaning i would frag the bad part off myself. and put it off to the side for time being.
as its a new tank water will constantly be doing its thing until its done an a equilibrium is found. be stable. chalices are a very poor candidate for cycling tank's these require stability they are the equivalent of sps in the lps world but much harder long term than sps in my opinion just my opinion xD

Okay thank you for the help. How does one go about "cleaning" the Algae off?

give it awhile before attempting to clean it it's so stressed atm any change might lead to more lose. a before pic would really help in the future always try to get a pic of the coral before you add it to the tank than one when its in your tank to give you something to look back on for growth recession an what not.'
