I just received a new few new things yesterday, for some reason I woke up at 7am, this is odd for me on the weekends, but anyway I went to look at the new chalice I got and it was not looking good at all ! My Tyree WM had the longest stinger I've ever seen come out of a chalice stinging it :(

I understand most people do Iodine dips when this happens ? Just wanted to double check and see if that's what I should do ?
Also my salifert Iodine test never reads, it always stays clear any tips why ? I test for iodide when i test.

Thanks for any help ! :)

I don't think a dip will help it. The nematocysts are very tiny harpoons with poison in them. Just separate them and hope for the best.

The sweeper I witnessed had to be 2.5"-3"

I am hoping for the best, it's one I've wanted for awhile ! Blue body with pink eyes.... I bought it from Rev,

Depending wich chalice is it, I have a Tyree Red, Pink WM that they are tough as nails, I had them too close to a torch coral that stung them pretty good, I just moved them to a shaded place and left them alone and they recovered, as long as ur water parameters are in check.

Thanks for the advice guys, I'm hoping for the best right now !

amore169: It was the Tyree OG watermelon if not it's the red..... I can't remember now ! I need to email the guy I bought it from, but that's the coral that stung the one I pictured. The blue/pink one got stung. Thanks for the encouragement though I hope it pulls through !
