If you frag a chalice without an eye, will it grow one? I thought Morgan said some can???

I got ******* Ill trade for the BM 
The pink dont do real well being fragged or at least it didnt for me. Now the FT will put out new eyes if cut without one. I cut 4 no eye frags off mine and all had eyes in a couple months
