Chalice frag ?

Hey guys I have a question on how to frag a chalice my boy has a nice mummy eye that's getting pretty big its on a plug and that plug is glued to a thin plastic square how would u frag it does the chalice stick to the plug like a enecrusting monti ? Or does it hover over it ? I would had to do it wrong and mess his colony up .we were thinking about using a razor blade between the plastic and chalice
