So I have had my 30 gallon nano for three years and finally decided to get a chalice. I bought it friday and since then it just doesnt look happy. Ive been checking it every night and hasnt extended its feeder tentacles yet and also non3 of the skeleton is showing but in some spots the tissue is light like the skeleton is right underneath. I kept it in low light and flow and havnt moved it yet nut wonder if the flow is just too low? My lighting system is led and know it cant be my water quality because I have different types of sps. Montipora, acro etc. And advice woukd be great! Thanks

In my experience chalices do not always have out there feeders. Some of mine rarely do some always do.... It seems as new chalices that are a little unhappy from shipping or changing tanks will get a toothy look to them where the skeleton looks like it is about to poke through the flesh. If you keep it in a nice lower light medium flow spot it will start looking better. Just give it some time. Do you have a picture.

Mine goes through phases... it'll have feeders out every night for a while, then I won't see them for a while..

Chalices aren't as bullet proof as some people like to claim they are. Yours looks "ok" not great but ok. Sometimes they take a while to get adjusted to your parameters. They do not like Alk or PO4 swings at all. Your Alk and PO4 may be different than where you got it and its getting used to your parameters.
