ID please

That is gorgeous! Where did you get it and what was it labeled as (aquacultured, maricultured etc.)? Chalices are tricky to pin down id because there are so many and they can look so different from tank to tank.

Thats the thing. I have no idea what it really is. Owner says its an atom bomb chalice. What would you normally pay for this? I am new to chalices so am unfamiliar with prices and stuff.

I'll give you $5 for it right now!

Nah, I am not a chalice pricing expert, but I would be willing to pay $100 for a frag of that...

Based on picture I'm guessing it's about a 1" frag. With the amount of color it has from a high end distributor it would probably run $300 plus. Without the seller being able to provide lineage you could probably get a pretty good deal. If you look around at other chalice frags rainbows with 3+ distinct colors bring a great deal of money. It's not uncommon to see stuff like that cost $100 an eye. I would do some googling and find something similar for sale then offer this guy 30-50 % of that. It's always way cheaper to go through hobbiest and honestly that is cool enough he wouldn't sell if he didn't need money.

That is a high end piece. The colors are distinct and well represented. I would see that locally for around $400. More if the lineage is traceable.

Most named rainbow chalices go for 300-500 an eye. That is not an sc (sexy corals) atom bomb though. Could be another "atom bomb" but not the main stream atom bomb. It's epic though.

Yeah, I was a little off with my $100 even... although I personally wouldn't pay more someone who is crazy about chalices probably would. I looked at some of the chalices yesterday for sale that had 5+ colors and it seemed to average around 800-1000/eye. Without lineage I would say 300-600 would be a fair price for that.
