Newayz off to class. be back in a hour. Hope to see a reply

With it being pink and green, most people would consider it a Watermelon Chalice. But, by no means am I a Chalice expert...

No go on watermelon. A watermelon is when it has green eyes, pink/red body, and a green rim.

possible Echinophyllia sp. it's hard to gauge it's value without seeing a clearer picture, I mean right now most chalices are the craze in the reef hobby and people are paying big bucks for them

It looks to me to have potential to be a mummy eye, if it colors up a bit more.

Are just the eyes pink or is there pink on the flesh? If there is pink on the flesh then I would say you got a nice common chalice, Pretty, but nothing special. If no pink on the flesh, then get that bad boy to color up fully and start fragging.

Nice chalice frag and it's understandable at a first look at it someone would ask if it were a Watermelon if it were at a LFS. I'd say go for the buy if the price is reasonable and would make a nice piece when it grows out. Sorry I'm not much help on the ID but I like it.
