Hi, I started this tank about 4 months ago and things are going well for the most part. But suddenly, I noticed an issue with a chalice I've had for about 3 months. It looks like there's some tissue loss with algae growth.

Everything else is doing well including other chalices, though they are different genuses, and Params are in line.
Nh3 0
N02 0
N03 maxes out around 10 before weekly water change
P04 very low or undetectable according to test. The colors are hard to read.
Alk 8.5-9
Cal 450-480
Mag 1300+

There's only 2 things I can think of.

1.a bubble gum Monster some how reached it even though I've been checking regularly and it's sweepers are never long enough.

2.My prime is having some issues with the uv and v channels ramping incorrectly and running at near max intensity for 8 hours of my 12 hour photo period and it was just too much for it.

I'm leaning towards 2 since the damaged area just happens to be getting the most light. Though if the bubble gum Monster did reach it that would be the exact spot it would likely sting.

Do you think I should dip it and move it? Or just let it be?

Personally I think option 2 and that your water is to clean. Before I killed mine I was striving to keep everything at zeros ( NO3 and PO4 ) and I think I starved it and my lights were to bright.

I don't think my water is to clean. No3 is 10 ppm or so and po4 is likely detectable since I'm not doing anything to throw it out of ratio with no3. I just can't read the dang tests lol it doesn't help that 0 and like the first 3 readings all look the same.

Plus I spot feed all my corals.

That’s the only reason I bought the Hanna Checker for PO4 as I could never see the color.

When you said option 2 did you mean lighting is likely the issue or option 2 as in let it be rather than move it?

I think it's the uv and v channels ramping too fast since my Jedi mind trick seems to be having similar issues. I'm a dumb butt and have been going back and forth with AI costumer service rather than just realizing I could set points in the app forcing it to ramp how I want.

Here's the mind trick. I'm also considering nudis in the montis case, but it's weird that it's been in the tank for a month and hasn't had issues until now.
