Ok, I'm at a loss here so maybe you guys and gals can help me out. I understand the basics of coral bleaching, stress and loss of color and zooxanthellae. Which happens when exposed to too much light, constant high or low temps and other stressfull factors. What I want to understand is what makes a bright chalice darken up and turn dark? What process is behind this? If anyone has a link of an article or some info, I would appreciate it. Curious ever since I've seen it happen to a couple of my pieces after fragging. Thanks, Frank.

I posted a thread long ago on the subject mag and it's role in chalice health and got a few responses but no answer... Anthony calfo was on the board at the time I was hoping to pick his mind but never got a answer..
