I’m not even sure if it’s a chalice. Some have called it oxipora, some a chalice, etc. etc.

My parameters are stable. Nitrate I let get moderately high 10-15 ppm. I never do water changes only top off. Chalice not eating?

If it hasn’t been eating it sure doesn’t look bad for it. I’m not sure if I’d worry. The coral looks awesome to me

Some eat, some don't. I have a couple chalices that eat like pigs and a couple others (mycedium, I believe) that slough food off everytime. I believe Tidal Gardens tried Reef Roids on a few different chalices and had similar results.

The concern is that this chalice ate like a monster. One day, it stopped, he has gotten a little spiky and shrunk a tiny bit. What parameters are most important when it comes to keeping chalices?

honestly i’ve never heard of anyone feeding chalice. i have always assumed it does fine off PS alone.
