Hey I have 3 diffrente chalices
I was wondering what is the best conditions you guys think is best for chalices like what type of flow, lighting, special feeding to get the growth and color
Maybe this could help others take good care of them also

Ill start I have Ecc hybrid, Mummy eye and a pink one that I dont know the name it was a gift i dont know if its a pink bubble gum

Placment: low in the sand
flow: low to mid
Lighting: T5

Observations:
Growth has been good for the bubble gum. the mummy eye and the ecc hybrid is kind of slow but it has the best color

Every chalice is different. I have a piece of a wild colony. When I got it, it was brown. I put it on the sand bed under 150W MH over 6 months it started to get a hint of purple. I slowly moved it up. Now it sits half way up direct light and with in the past 2 months has turned almost completely purple. Still waiting to see if any other colors come out of it. I do not have any of the three chalices you listed so I can't help there. Someone will have an answer but remember all tanks are different and all corals are different.

Hi bagged the purpose of this post its just an experience and information thing for us to see the diffrent kinds of experience on diffrent kind of chalices and what are people doing this way we could gather information and learn

Nice example you gave that some tend to like more lighting any special feeding

Let see what other have experienced

No special feedings. I only have a couple that have noticable larger mouths. I do spot feed those with mysis once a week. The other one like the wild colony I talked about before that have very very very small mouths I guess they are just getting food when I feed the tank. I have noticed on the ones I spot feed mysis they seem a little more puffed up then when I dont feed them. I have had a rasta chalice frag since march. I started feeding the 1 eye a piece of mysis once a week for the past 4 months. It has popped out 2 eyes. For the first 3 months I had it no new eyes not as bright color.
