Hi I have a miami hurricane chalice and am about to acquire a BGM. I've heard different stories about placement and how much light these two should get. With this being so, I decided I'd see if you'll could provide an answer. I'm trying to get that REALLY bright green in the BGM and the bright blue for the miami hurricane. If you post up an opinion, please provide your lighting setup and placement in tank (high, medium, low). Thanks guys.

I have been keeping them under high lighting and they love them and showed nice growth. I'm running 6 x 80W T5s over driven by 2 Icecap 660 with Powerbrite and Reefbrite LEDs. They are 16" to 18" under the light.

start out low and work your way up. My hurricane is slightly shaded. don't know much about the bgm
it also depends on your lighting and where they are coming from.

Yeah the miami hurricane hasn't colored up as much as I would have liked it to but that is probably because I'm running PCs... until the LEDs come in

No sorry man I'm still on the beginner chalices lol. My recommendation would be to let it get somewhere it looks happy and then just leave it be... but like I said I'm not really an expert by any means.
