Chalice Placement

I purchased a small frag ( about 1/2'' ) of Miami Vice Chalice about 4 months ago. I've had it in my 48gal, was worried my large fish in display would make it vanish. It has been in low flow, med-low light, 1 1/4'' now. I want to add to display in low flow, med-low light area. My friend suggests higher flow and more light. Looked Chalice placements up on google and get varying suggestion. Since it has grown well in low flow, med-low light, i'm thinking to find spot like that in displays, thoughts?

I have 2 that seems to grow best in 120-140 par on the sand. I’ve tried to acclimate them to a higher PAR but they always start to bleach a bit. If they are happy I would say keep it the same.

Can't measure exact par, have measured before it's in spot/area in 110-130. Yes going put in same in display. Was going to put on rock, will try sand. I had it around 200 par to start, didn't look well. It grew 7-9 more mouths after moved to lower light.

I have about 5 different chalice and they all are on the sand bed and are happy there..if they are happy where you got them leave them alone..don’t go by whats on the internet go by what they are telling you in your tank...I had monti’s that are suppose to like light and flow and as soon as I raise them they start to bleach out so I get them lower

Lower light works well for me! I always keep mine on the bottom, they do good there for me! Too much light will make them bleach IME
