Hey Guys,

So I picked up this chalice today. Any idea what kind?
I had 2x questions on it!

1) Is placement on the rock okay? It's about mid way in the tank, but I wanted to make sure it would be ok since part of it would be 'floating', without rock support under. (Note the frogspawn in the bottom left corner). They're about 6" apart right now, but they're both bound to grow. Will those 2 have a conflict?

2) a few pieces of the edges were a bit brittle for my saugage fingers, and as you can see, bent. (left and back). Is it better for me to 'rip' those edges off, since they now 'flow' in the wind, or would they heal if I just leave it be?

Thanks!

Your chalice seems high enough for now .. but your frogspawn will sting it if it gets near it .. I've just had the same problem .. although your chalice will recover and grow back .. mine did ..!

Not sure on what kind it is. Being on the rock is ok. It might encrust on the rock or plate outward depending on the flow in your tank. The frogspawn will damage the chalice if they make contact. Anytime Ive broke some of the skeleton Ive just left it and its just fine.

Ok awesome, I'll leave the skeleton alone, but will relocate it slightly to the right a few inches in. If growth of either of them ever get too great, I guess I can frag them at that point - but maybe being on the edge next to the frog isn't the best place.

Thanks!

Here's the new location for the guy! Man every time I do a change I feel like it takes at least 1 hour haha.
Frogspawns below, but left & right, and a forestfire behind it on the right. Think it should be ample room for them to keep their distance from everything, and if froggy gets too close, then frag he goes! It'll be impressive if one of them can reach it now
If the chalice grows out of control (doubt), it's tentacles can sting the sps behind, yeah? If so, I can def pick those up & re-glue further back.

Thanks again for the help! excited to see how it'll do!

Looks like youll have plenty of room for growth.
Awesome, I'll just leave it be then! The 'broken skeliton' has now folded all the way back, like a piece of paper folded on itself.
I doubt it'll heal back up and 'straighten out', but will keep an eye on it!

Cheers
