I have a 9 eye purple erkle that was doing great but I had a MJ powerhead that was leaking current for little while and a few chalices in my frag tank started receding (at least I blame the electical leak). Any way it still has all 9 eye but the tissue around the edge has receded and seems to still be doing so. Are chalices like SPS in the fact that once they start to recede they often dont stop (even if the problem is taken care of).....and the best chance is to cut it or glue it?

Any advice from the pros is appreciated.

I've had some chalice loose all tissue except for the eyes and they recovered. I did dip them and hope for the best.

A few weeks ago I had an alk swing due to waiting for parts from calc reactor. I had one frag that the tissue began to receed. I dipped just in case of other issues and placed in low flow area. It slowed down but isnt out of the woods yet. Sometime it will stop on its own. Hope yours pulls through.

I've had a couple frags receded to barely anything but once I got my water in check again, they grew back. Of course, I did have a couple that didn't make it too. See if it's still receding after a week. Decide from there.

Have you tried dipping it? You can use airline tubing to siphon off the dying/necrotic tissue and then you may want to give it a dip in an Iodine solution like Pro Coral cure to help prevent the spread.
