Chalice Show-Off Thread!!!

very true. common echinata coloration for sure.

but look at the polyp structure. especially the cluster of 3 polyps closest to the camera on the left. something about it just screems rotundaflora to me. i could be wrong, though - would not be the first time. :)

whos piece are you talking about. if mine, mine is definitely a chalice. No rotund or echinata.

yes, the one you posted.

thanks for the clarification. do you know what type of chalice it is? i assume it is "orenji" by common name? on zoaid, several pictures of the orenji also look like they could be rotundos to me.

thanks!

yea...i dont know exactly. I do know however that it is quite bumpy and the skin retracts when touched. Grows extremely slow (just as slow as my pink watermelon) and does not like to be cut. Either way its a nice piece with atleast 5 colors.

Looks like the true orenji chalice to me, one of the slowest dang chalices in my tank only growin 1/4 or a lil more in 8 month's.

not much a chalice person anymore...but here is my fav

Last 2 pics are the same piece

The chalice is the first picture is unnamed. I have only had it for two weeks. When I got it it was brown and is already turning blue and red. The one on the left of the second picture is lime in the sky and the one on the right is unnamed.
