I may be wrong, so don't quote me, but that looks like a mycedium, and IIRC, mycediums can have crazy sweepers. A friend lost a small colony of Raptors peace coral to one. Again, I'm going off questionable memory here though

My new chalice I picked up from my LFS the other day. Finally able to get a good pic of it I think I'll call it "Smashed Pumpkin chalice"...Thoughts?

I just cut off a few frags yesterday and it is already looking to be healing nicely along with the frags

i will see what i can come up with soon. i am hoping to have a 50d + macro lens soon.

in the meantime i will post this piece here. i call it the "epic fail" chalice. i call it that because it's a frag from a browned out piece we've had at the store for about a year. i brought a frag of it home about a month ago hoping to see some more colors come out, but in the end it is one big epic fail.

i will say it looks 100x better than when i brought it home.
