Alright. Well since I bought this as a large colony I am assuming that it does not have lineage and is not a LE that you hear about a lot. It has colored up a bunch in the past few weeks and this is a frag that I mounted about 2 weeks ago. Looks very similar to Mengs or Emerald mummy eye. Input would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would'nt say mengs, that one is way way bright.
Let it color up and grow a little, but I bet it's just a wild caught mummy eye :)
Looks good man!

Looks just lke a wild cought mummy eye, VERY doubtfull if is a megns.AE,cornbread or any of those.

But nether the less its a nice piece if you ever sell drop me a pm i kinda like it.

Thanks! I actually prefer the look of the colonies on the bigger tiles, so I am going to frag a large chunk for myself and sell and trade the rest to pay myself back. I am going to make sure people know that this is a look-a-like and not an LE and I think I will price/trade accordingly. It has colored up quit a bit since I got it and it was kept under some crappy lighting, can't wait to watch this thing change. The colony I got has over 30 eyes and I am hoping to keep a nice 10 eye chunk that has the eyes tightly packed together.

Alright, you can only see the front portion of it in this picture. The picture is also a bit blue since this is at the bottom of my tank and the quicker shutter speed makes for bluer pictures down there.

Looks sweet man!
I want to ask about price and size of the frags you plan on sharing, but....
Remember, 25post minimum and a month of membership before you are able to sell anything.

Yeah, no worries. I wanted to check things out for a bit before I jump in to trading selling. I have been a part of NR for a while and one of my buddies told me about this place so I thought I would give it a go. NR will probably get first dibs on my frags, but I will share here eventually.

It is a type of mummy eye for sure but not in the same sub species as the oregon, og, or the meng's mummy eye. I believe those are the same coral but different color morph.
That one you have looks like a different sub species of the many mummy eyes that have been going around. Nice piece either way.
