Good morning everyone, I recieved some coral yesterday from WWC one of which being a Darth Maul Chalice. For the first 12 hours in the tank it looked great. Last night at about midnight I checked in on the corals with a flast light and found the chalice looking like this. All parameters look good with the exception of high nitrates. The only thing I can think of is the frag had come off the plug when it arrived so I used some super glue to put it back on. It was the same super glue I used to hold all my rock together back when I put the tank together. Bought from BRS. Did I inadvertently burn the center of my coral?

looks like your finger pressure damaged some tissue in the middle when you re-glued it, it should grow back , there are no corals near it right ? that it got stung ?

Hmm... I didnt think about that. Its very possible I did it when I put it on the plug. I also got a Teal Aussie Lord frag. It was placed about 2 inches away from the chalace in the sand bed so maybe but I doubt it.

How's the tissue damage looking?

It appears to be healing up some. Its not gotten any worse. I'll take an update picture tomorriw when my lights are back on!
